The Battle is His

Ellen Martell reminds us how real the battle for our mind is. But thankfully victory is ours when we obey God’s Word.

“ We  can live clean lives by obeying your word. We need to worship you with all of our hearts. Don't let us walk away from your commands. We need to treasure your word above all else; it keeps us from sinning.”

Psalms 119:9-11 CEV

Josh’s message last Friday addresses a constant battle…controlling my thoughts. Oh my goodness how my mind can ramble and so often be anxious and fearful UNTIL I read God’s word or pray that He helps me control my thoughts. And I can with His help. When my mind wanders into deep water, I can lose focus and fear begins

God understands my weakness and quickly blasts and dispels my fear within His Cloud of Presence. He covers me and I can feel pretty much instant relief and regain my focus in His strength.

Satan loves using our own minds and thoughts and he does so constantly with his primary goal of separating us from God.

I will not submit to my own thoughts and fears today, rather rest securely in God’s protection

He can and does change my thoughts time after time. God keeps all…ALL of His promises to hold me and keep me completely His.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Philippians 4:6-8 NLT
