The Journey Church was birthed through prayer, in a car port…
In 2017 a group of Jesus followers faced uncertainty. Recognizing our need to seek God’s guidance we began to meet under a carport to pray.
Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” That is what we did.
Less than a year later we were certain that God was leading us to begin The Journey Church.
Our Pastors
Pastor Ray Streets
Pastor Ray Streets, also known as P.Ray, has dedicated over 50 years to serving the Lord. He declares, “I am more excited than ever.” P.Ray’s commitment is unwavering as he strives to finish his journey well. Alongside his wife Archie—his partner of 53 years—they share a family with two sons and six grandchildren.
Pastor Candi Johnson has served alongside P.Ray for 28 years. In 2025, The Journey Church ordained her, acknowledging God’s calling in her life. She is passionate about helping people develop a love for the Word of God. Candi and her husband, Wayne, have been married for 47 years, and they are blessed with two sons and three grandchildren.
