God’s Still Good

Tara has been mentoring a young lady; Madi from Arkansas. Madi writes this devotion that many will relate to.

I don’t really know who needs to hear this, but maybe it’s for someone who’s been feeling like I have lately.

The past few weeks have been some of the hardest I’ve had in a long time. I’ve been passing out almost every day, got a heart monitor today, going to more doctors appointments than I can count, and trying to figure out why my body keeps doing this. At the same time, I‘be lost some of the people I thought would be in my life forever. Life has looked nothing like I thought it would.

There’s been days where I’ve felt discouraged, confused, frustrated, and honestly just tired. I‘ve asked God “why?” more times than I can count.

But through all of this, I’ve been reminded that God is still good.

Not because everything is going right, because it’s not. Not because life suddenly got easier, because it hasn’t. but because God never changes.

It’s easy to believe God is good when everything’s falling into place. It’s a whole lot harder when your prayers seem unanswered, your body keeps failing you, your heart is hurting, and you’re just trying to make it through the day. But that’s when faith matters most.

If you’re going through something today, I want to remind you that your situation doesn’t change who God is. He’s still with you. He still loves you. He’s still working, even if you can’t see it.

I don’t have all the answers, and I’m still learning to trust Him too. There are still moments where I don’t understand why any of this is happening. But I’ve seen enough of His faithfulness to know He hasn’t brought me this far just to leave me here.

So if all you can do today is hold onto Jesus, then hold on. One day you’ll look back and realize He was carrying you this whole time. no matter what you’re facing right now, God is still good. 🤍

“My Christian friends, remember to be happy, even when many kinds of trouble happen to you. Troubles can help you. God wants to see if you really trust him. Your faith in God will become stronger as a result of these troubles. So you should continue to trust God all the time. Then you will become stronger as a believer. You will become completely how you should be. You will not need anything more.”
