God IS Good

God is good…

Last time that we talked, I had shared about never asking for help whether it was asking a friend or our Father in heaven. I was I need of  surgery and how I needed to have a hernia repair. But my EKG came back abnormal. So after further testing and seeing a cardiologist, everything came back good and I was cleared. So I just had the hernia repair.

So that isn’t what this Devo is about. It’s just a prelude to what came about. So many of my friends and family are all telling me. Good luck on your surgery. Which is a very nice gesture. But it got me thinking. How many times do we wish? Good luck for something when there really is no luck involved.

I was raised, not to say that playing the lottery is a sin, or you should not do it, but that is something that you should not rely on as a quick get rich type of thing. If God wants you to have that money he will always provide for you.

“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.”

Possibly you just missed a near accident and say well that was lucky or Ran into an old friend and said  that was by luck. When in fact, we all know that it was God’s hand leading to this occurrences.

And I’m not even sure if this is what encourage me to write this Devo because I have a better story.

One of my other devos was about an 11 year old girl who I’ve praying for. She was troubled about her struggles and was questioning God‘s love. Her parents are very good friends of ours and her mother actually sent me this which came from the 11-year-old girl.

Please tell Rick we said there's no such thing as good luck when we have a good God. Praying and that is how we know God IS Good
