Deep Thoughts

Vaughn shared this and like others it got moved to the back of the pile. He and Michelle recently went on a cruise and he shared these deep thoughts. 

Wow, God is so good! As I was reading Tracy’s devotion, sitting here on the balcony of the largest cruise ship ever built. It  really got me reflecting the last time I was on a ship of this magnitude, was when I was stationed in Pearl Harbor over 40 years ago. I was working on an aircraft carrier, several decks below the waterline. This time while looking out over the ocean, I am 15 decks above the waterline. And I got to thinking how God has truly bless me over these many years. He has  his truly supplied all my needs. Those many years ago , I was a new Christian in a place where I did not know anyone and trying to do my best in my new job. Now I’m sitting here with my granddaughter and retired, celebrating my wife’s birthday and 37 years of an incredible marriage. So many ups and downs rather it was through health problems or financial. God has bless me that my cup has truly been filled to where it runs over. I think of all the people that I have met rather was through the different churches that Michelle and I attended. Or all those people that she has sang to , through either the gospel Rays or now New Journey.  I have watched both of my children grow up and get married and have their own children. It’s so hard to realize how fast time truly goes, but I am so grateful for every single day. I will say being able to be part of Journey Church really seems to be the icing on the cake lol I love my Church family so much.
