Bigger Than Giants
Ellen Martell, our South Carolina friend, gives us this BIG message today!
When I read about giants in the Bible, I visualize them as I visualize most everything I read whether I am reading the Bible or a book.
Visualizing is not real, it’s my mind’s way of imagining.
There are quite a few Biblical references to giants based on actual fact, not imagination. Og, the king of Bashan, actual clans of giants in the promised land of Canaan, threatened the Israelites from crossing the Jordan, much like Goliath the Philistine threatened the Israelites including, as we all know, David.
As I read the Bible and all these factual accounts, I seek God’s message. And as I start each day in devotion and prayer, there are many “giants” that try to threaten my own peace and security with all kinds of weapons of fear, doubt, anxiety. When we seek Him with all our hearts we will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13)
God promised…and delivered, time after time after time, EVERY TIME, His people with His assurance of leading and protection…and victory…victory every time.
There is no giant however tall or big or numerous and powerful, that can threaten God’s purpose. They are fearsome and oppressive, but that draws us closer to God in absolute trust and dependence…also called faith.
It’s a great time to be faithful!
Have an amazing day!!!
Make it a Trusting Thursday! God is good…
