323
Tara Mihalko brings great encouragement to us today.
Just about every morning when I awake, I get my notebook, pencil, and Bible. I sit with the Lord in silence. Sometimes I begin writing and other times I will hear from the Lord. In the last few days, I have seen the number 323. That’s significant to me because that’s the date that my mom passed away. This morning when I went to Lamentations 3:22-23. I was reminded of this beautiful scripture. As I’m writing it down, I heard the Lord say, write a devotion about it. So I am being obedient and writing the devotion about this scripture.
Lamentations 3:22-23 the steadfast love of the Lord, never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.
If we look at the word steadfast in Greek, Σταθερός it means being stable, fixed in place or immovable. The word cease in Greek, Παύση means coming to an end.
That would mean the immovable love of the Lord never comes to an end. His love for us is endless. That brings me in an immense amount of joy.
His mercy in Greek Έλεος means compassion or pity on.
The scripture tells us His mercies never come to an end. They are new each morning. Great is your faithfulness.
No matter what your day may look like. Whether it was filled with sorrow, pain, grief, sin, depression, anxiety or even joy; His love never ends and His mercy is new in the morning. Because of His love, because of His mercy, because of His faithfulness, we get a fresh start each morning.
Thank you, Lord for your love. Your steadfast love for us.
Make it a Faith- filled Friday! God is good…
