Shine Your Light
Kerry Roth shares his thoughts with us today. It reminds us that even in these dark days a light is shining.
I read the 9/11 devotional, and it made me think where I was when those events happened, the 9/11 attacks was a scary time, whether you liked George Bush or not I’ll never forget his speech on top of the world trade tower rubble. It was about the only time since WW2 that America was united.
Right now as bad as the world seems to be ,the lawlessness, our morals in the pits, rampant crime, disrespect of America, disrespect our leaders, hating those who don’t agree with them, too many with me first attitudes.
But there is a glimmer of hope. For the first time in years people aren’t afraid to proclaim their Christian beliefs. What’s really inspiring are the celebrities coming out with their Christian beliefs and conservative views. Cancel culture is not working anymore. Whether you are at the gym or out and about you see younger generations wearing crosses and shirts with a Christian message.
I know P.ray just needs a opening like a shirt with a Christian message at the gym he’s and praying with someone or talking to them about Jesus. am getting better at starting a conversation with people like that,
I’m not like P.ray, but I’m learning to be bold like him. I try to do my part by praying for him whenever I see him speaking the Word with someone. I thank God everyday for Journey and for our Pastors. Journey is made up of with real people with warts and all . People who love Jesus and each other. For the first time in my life I actually look forward to attending church not as an obligation, but as a commitment to be there and to be part of what God is doing. Without a doubt it is a real joy to be there. P.ray and Candi keep doing what you are doing. It’s working. We love and appreciate you.
Make it a Masterly Monday! God is good…
