Running
Tara Mihalko gives us this beautiful picture of God’s love and our relationship with Him. This is so good. Ty Tara
““And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20 NLT
I remember back to a time when my son was, I believe in the second grade. They rode the Amtrak train to horseshoe curve.
I was a runner at this time. So when he left to go to school, I went out for my run. I ran the trail and I could see the railroad tracks. When I saw that the Amtrak train was coming, knowing my little boy was on it, I was so excited. My hands were waving so fast. I didn’t know if he could see me, but I hoped. I didn’t expect to see the Amtrak train.
This is how I feel when I can hear from the Father in heaven. I may not be able to see Him just like I did not see my son on that train. It’s a knowing. I knew my son was on the train. And I know my Father. He’s my go to. Always the first one I run to. He always amazes me in the many ways that He shows up. I am His little girl just waiting to hear from my Father. What are we gonna talk about today Abba? Your girl is listening, I will say. And when I wait, often it’s quiet and other times He shows up. And when He shows up, He shows out. His ways are perfection. I pray to never lose my awe in Him.
Proverbs 8:17 I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.
My prayer is that your love for the Father is greater than anyone else in this world. I tell you when you put Him first and you love Him as we are commanded to do; you won’t ever want to turn your back. He is so amazing. He loves us, His children, so much.
John 1:12 But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
Love always wins. Most especially the love of our heavenly Father.
Make it a Severe Saturday! God is good…
