Love One Another
Ellen Martell responds to Joyce’s devo. What great thoughts she shares.
As I read Joyce’s devotional this morning I kept thinking about how much and how often, including the Ten Commandments, tells us to love one another as we love ourselves. Love your brother, love your neighbor…be compassionate, feed the poor, welcome the stranger.
As I was thinking about these commandments, I thought about the pain and suffering Joyce and each person has in this life and how these commandments from God can encourage and comfort us in our own times of suffering and need. Joyce said that in the midst of her suffering she sought a safe place…it was among God’s people that welcomed and comforted her. You all at Journey reflect God’s love.
As she said, many, probably all those at Journey and all of us suffer as well and we comfort each other.
This world is hard in so many ways, the love shown and given by God for us to give one another is another beautiful gift and message from Him this morning that in fact we are safe with Him and His.
