Family Salvation

Janet Roth shares this beautiful experience of her families salvation.

Being raised in a believing family of God, some say Christian family, I’ve learned over a long period of time people say they are Christians but not knowing anything of how to be saved. Read John 3:16 that’s a start.

As a child I accepted Jesus at a very young age of 10 at the altar & yes I remember every detail. My mom also asked what I believed and what being saved meant. She wanted me know that I knew I was going to heaven She was a very strong believer,

As I had my oldest daughter in the car with my husband driving, my daughter and I would sing songs. We had just come back from a weekend at church camp. There my daughter and her cousin she made professions of faith. Now we had a new song which was “STOP & let me tell you want the Lord has done.”

I guess it’s not safe to sing it for the first time with Kerry driving When we yelled, Stop” in the song Kerry slammed the brakes on at a green light! Thankfully the Lord protected us . From that day on we didn’t sing that with him.

As time went on our two younger children loved to sing in the car with me when I drove. One of the biggest blessings with them was when they wanting to sing songs of praise. A little later my son asked, when I was driving , if he could accept Christ into his heart. I told him any time you want to,  but you have to know that he finished what I was going to say. He asked if he could do it in the car right then.  I told him, “Absolutely! The Lord  wants you to ask him into your heart anytime, any where. “

Yes, I was driving and continued to pray and drive as he continued to pray and accept Christ. Our youngest daughter made a profession of faith after supper a year later, after we had cleaned the table and were working on her homework. So if anyone

one of you out there has never accepted Jesus, it doesn’t matter what or where you are.

“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. For Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:10, 13 NLT

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT

Make it a Transforming Tuesday! God is good…
