Frank Young shares a touching devo with us today. A gentle reminder that our Heavenly Father has us in His arms embracing us and protecting us.
A friend told me a story about a year ago that reminded me of another story. A young boy needed to get operated on and he requested instead of being bound, that the doctor would allow his daddy to hold him in his arms. I thought what a special relationship they had.
My friends daughter was coming home for her grandmothers funeral. As she entered the door she went straight to him and said, I just wanted my daddy to hold me.
What two touching stories, but more so, what a spiritual message.
“I will be your God throughout your lifetime - until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” Isaiah 46:4
One day when I went for a walk way in the woods, it began to rain and the sun appeared shining through the clouds. Seen this before but that day was special thinking of these two stories. God never promised me constant sunshine in my life, because that is not reality in the world we live in. But the sun in the midst of the rain reminded me that God will hold me and carry me through the good and the bad days.
When I place myself in His arms, I have security knowing everything is going to be okay. If you are going through a storm right now, go to your Abba this morning and allow Him to hold you. Put your security in Him. Fear not, for He is with you!
“Jesus answered, ‘I have already told you, but you do not believe. The things that I do by my Father's authority show you who I am. But you refuse to believe, because you are not my sheep. My sheep recognize my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them life for ever with God. They will never die. Nobody can ever take them away from me. My Father has given them to me. He is greater than all things. Nobody can ever take my sheep out of my Father's hand.”
John 10:25-29 EASY
