Wisdom

Ellen Martell, our friend from South Carolina, shares today’s words of wisdom with us.

Our sermon this morning was about wisdom. I often think of Proverbs and Solomon when thinking of wisdom and he had great wisdom because he asked God for it

I don’t think anyone has wisdom apart from God. I said that just the way I believe it. Wisdom is from God.

I have prayed many times for wisdom but it’s only today in church that I realize wisdom is not a measure of intelligence or problem solving. In fact it is seeing things from God’s perspective. That’s huge.

I have only described a very few people of having wisdom and yet I don’t recall thinking of their wisdom on the level of seeing things from God’s perspective.

Wisdom and holiness therefore go together. Really, you can’t have one without the other when you think about it biblically.

So the next time I pray sincerely for wisdom, I will also ask for holiness .

Seek His ways in all things and He will make your paths straight (Prov 3:6)…

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.”  James 1:5

Make it a Terrific Tuesday! God is good…

What could be better?

Have a great beautiful week!
