The Grander Purpose
Henry Caraballo shares this touching and inspiring message with us today. It WILL encourage you for sure. Thx Henry
A few weeks ago, I was blessed to have an intimate moment of fellowship with P.Ray and during our talk, he purposefully mentioned that I should share a devotional about pain. I have been delaying not because I did not know what to say but because I had too much to say and could not find a way to express it.
I can honestly say that since that day with P.Ray, things have become more challenging than expected and at times more than I could handle on my own, but it is through all of this that I have come to realize and accept the beauty of it all; this is exactly what the Lord wants, to bring me to a place of complete brokenness where I can honestly say to Him that I need Him because I can not do this on my own.
What does this have to do with pain? Well, I will not go into details about the valley I am currently walking thru; not just me but so many that are reading this, but greater than the pain and darkness of not knowing or understanding every step is the healing truth that He is with me, with you, and that He has promised to NEVER leave, NEVER look away, NEVER lose His focus of me or you. NEVER!!!
Why is this simple truth so powerful and so important? It WILL keep and sustain us even if the sickness is not healed, even if the loss occurs, even if the relationship falls apart. So, whatever valley you may find yourself in, PLEASE REMEMBER, the valley is a passage, not a destination, as you walk thru it, not only are you not alone, you are being guided by The One who brought you to the valley in the first place; not to punish or cause you meaningless pain and suffering, but to work out His grander purpose in your life. "So, we DO NOT LOSE HEART. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure, because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal." (2 Cor 5: 16-18, NRSV)
Thanks for letting me share.
Make it a Forever Friday! God is good…
