Resurrected Life

Jen Weaver speaks to us about The Resurrected Life: The Holy Spirit from promise to presence. He is our comforter and convicter.

“He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”

John 14:17 NLT

The Spirit who stood at the mouth of a sealed tomb.
The Spirit who did not flinch at death.
The Spirit who raised Christ.

Living.

In you.

Not visiting.

Not assisting occasionally.

Living.

Most of us were taught effort before indwelling.

Try harder.
Do better.
Pray more consistently.
Manage your reactions.

We were handed a checklist before we were told about presence.

But the Christian life is not self-improvement with Jesus cheering you on.

His resurrection life is at work in you.

You may not feel powerful.

You may feel tired. Reactive. Unsure.

But you are not empty.

The Spirit is not an advanced course for spiritually ambitious people.

He is oxygen.

The resurrection has already moved inside your ordinary Tuesday.

You’re not fighting for freedom anymore.

You’re learning to live from it.

Gentle Invitation

Where are you striving to produce what the Spirit has already promised to provide? Ask Him to fill you instead.

“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”

Romans 8:11 NLT
