Real Gratitude

Ellen Martell responds with this great insight to Robbie’s devo.

“God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was his eternal plan, which he carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord. Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.”

Robbie has been shown in his difficult and costly struggle with substance abuse that gratitude, especially at the beginning of the day, is a gift God gives us to come to Him in reverence and humbleness 

Gratitude, simply defined, recognizes we are dependent on benevolence, provision and keeping outside our own power 

What’s wrong with being dependent and allowing ourselves to feel cared for? 

This kind of dependency is empowering and freeing and hopefully teaches us that our God and Protector wants us to be strong, healthy and fulfilled. 

Gratitude is a magic bullet against fear and  guilt. Because the truth is Jesus paid the price for our failures, how can we not be grateful!🙌🙏♥️
