No Kings? Yes — We Have a King!
Karen Mayerscik gives us the truth. I love her powerful message. You will too.
Were you aware of the “No Kings” protests that swept the country over Palm Sunday weekend?
Protesters loudly reject their perceived hint of royalty ;) in government — completely unaware (imo) that we already have a King.
His name is Jesus.
As a follower of Christ, I gladly embrace this truth: Isaiah prophesied that “the government will be upon His shoulders” (Isaiah 9:6). That day is coming for the whole world, but for those who know Him, His reign has already begun.
Our King is humble — a perfect gentleman who never forces His rule on anyone. He invites instead of demands.
Palm Sunday has passed — the day crowds welcomed our King and Savior with shouts of “Hosanna!” (Save us now!). Resurrection Sunday has come and gone as well — the glorious day He defeated death and answered that very cry.
So while the crowds shout “No Kings,” I’m happy to declare: Yes, I have a King, we have a King. And one day soon, the whole world will know it too — He is coming back and will rule in absolute sovereignty for all eternity.
Revelation 19:16 “On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords." Revelation 17:14 “ They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King.
Make it a Faithful Friday!
God is good…
