New Hunger
Ellen Martell tells us how her life has changed since coming into an intimate relationship with Jesus. Many of you could say the same has happened to you.
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
2 Corinthians 5:16-17 NLT
Candi really does have a beautiful way of seeing God’s purpose in this crazy wonderful wild and furry Winston! And she is so right to see ourselves in that driven, insatiable insistence that he will have what he will have…and it could be to his own peril (the vet lol)
Just like us. But God has other plans for us! just as Candi and her husband have better plans for Wild Winston.
We are now insatiable for righteousness and God’s leading…for praising, thanking Him every hour for saving us from ourselves. I know I do. I was just like Wild Winston…seeing only what I wanted in the moment. God saw through me and drew me to Himself not because I deserved it but because He loved me.
I am no longer wild…I am still too often self serving but God quickly convicts me through His Holy Spirit. I am so thankful for this because I still fall, I still fail, but sin no longer rules or owns me…God rules in my heart and mind and I am His.
So thankful today for so much compassion, healing, hope and love that I do not deserve but I am holding on to all of it!🙏
Make it Testifying Tuesday! God is good…
