He is for you!

Welcome Reagan back! I know how much that pleases so many. She has great spiritual insight and we all benefit from her wisdom. Ty Reagan well done! But don’t take so long for your next words of wisdom.

Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Psalm 118:7 “Yes, the Lord is for me, He will help me. Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes before you and he will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Are all popular verses about God being for us, along with many others found in the Bible. These are real, true, and alive words!Rereading them recently has caused me to understand deeper what God being for us really means. When we are weary, burnt out, sad, fearful, our God is fighting for us. The one who created every single thing in this universe places Himself wherever we are to not only be there with us, but to fight FOR us. Him who is ALL powerful ALL knowing and ALL victorious is on our side. I have to remind myself so often that there truly is no reason for me to ever let fear get the final say when our Lord already has. The Bible ensures us that we will face battles of many kinds in this life, He never said we’d be exempt from them. However, He has promised us a greater help through every single one we face. He has already won every single war we will ever face. He is greater. His way is better. There is nothing our God can’t do, there is nothing new that our God has not already answered, there is nothing our God cannot redeem, restore, or revive.

A great reminder for me is from one of my most favorite songs, The Blessing. The Spirit intercedes this over us, “May His presence go before you, and behind you, and beside you, all around you and within you, He is with you, He is with you. In the morning, in the evening, in your coming, in your going, in your weeping and rejoicing, He is FOR you, He is FOR you!”
